Immune System: Manipulation In Vivo

The immune system is manipulated by procedures aimed at potentiating immune responses to cope efficiently with antigenic and microbial challenges or to inhibit tumour development. However, suppression or re-education of the immune system is an essential strategy to control undesired immune reactions directed either to self or to transplanted antigens.
