Feldberg, Wilhelm Siegmund

1900–1993 British neuropharmacologist who worked with Sir Henry Dale in establishing that synaptic transmission in the nervous system has a chemical basis. His later work elucidated the mechanisms by which many drugs act on the central nervous system.
