Retrovirus Culture

Abstract

To successfully isolate and propagate retroviruses, several critical aspects of viral tropism and replication must be considered. Issues related to viral growth can be quite varied among the retroviral family members and dictate the establishment of appropriate culture conditions.

Keywords: cellular activation; viral replication; primary or transformed cells; viral tropism; cocultures
