Buchheim, Rudolf

Abstract

1820–1879 German pharmacologist noted for his systematic studies of drugs and their mechanisms of action. During his time as a professor in Dorpat (Tartu in Estonia) he is said to have established, at first in his home, the first laboratory of experimental pharmacology.
