Affinity Purification of Antibodies

Abstract

This method produces the purest sample of antibody, containing only antibodies that react with the desired antigen, free of all other immunoglobulins. It is based on affinity chromatography, in which antigen is bound to a solid phase to which specific antibody is bound and then eluted off.
