Proteomics: A Molecular Scanner in Medicine

Proteomics is the large-scale identification and characterization of proteins and posttranslational modifications. Several proteomic methodologies, especially microarrays and mass spectrometry, offer the promise of use in a variety of clinical settings.

Keywords: mass spectrometry; genomics; posttranslational modifications; diagnostic markers; chips
